April 22 : Diocesan provinces were erected for the Adoration, Carmelite and Clarist Sisters of the Diocese.

June-July : Victims of eviction at Kanchiyar area, and of flood along the Periyar River were specially helped.

Aug 01 : An English Medium High School (Nirmala) was started at Muvattupuzha.

Dec. 15 : Lay Associations in the Diocese were reorganised and diocesan directors appointed.
