March : As part of the St. Joseph’s year, Marika, Nellimattom and Peringuzha churches which have St. Joseph as their patron were declared as Pilgrim centers of the Eparchy.

March 19 : ‘Amoris Laetitia Family Year’ was inaugurated at the Cathedral.

March 28 : Holy Family Church Bethlehem was declared as a Pilgrim Centre in commemoration of the ‘Family Year’.

April 8 : St. Mary’s Forane Church Arakuzha was declared as Major Archiepiscopal Pilgrim Church by the Major Archbishop.

April 17 : First online meeting of the newly constituted Pastoral Council was conducted. May : Month of prayer was observed in the month of May in connection with the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

July 3 : Newly constructed chapel and living block at Santhinilayam were blessed by the Bishop.

July 20 : Nirmala Civil Service Academy was blessed and inaugurated.

Aug 01 : Mgr. Cherian Kanjirakompil and Mgr. Francis Keerampara were relieved from their offices of Protosyncellus and Syncellus. Mgr. Francis Keerampara and Mgr. Pius Malekandathil were appointed Protosyncellus and Syncellus respectively.

Aug 15 : A decree was signed by the Bishop in order to reconstitute the existing Kothamangalam Forane and thus form two new Foranes.

Sep 8 : The Declaration ceremony of the newly constituted Velielchal Forane was conducted.

Sep 9 : The Declaration ceremony of the newly constituted Kuruppampady Forane was conducted.

Oct 01 : Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Cherupushpa Mission League was inaugurated at St George Cathedral, Kothamangalam.

Oct 30 : Official inauguration of the diocesan level preparation for the ‘Synod on Synodaliy 2023’ in Rome.

Nov.18 : New Logo of the Eparchy of Kothamangalam was released by His Excellency Mar George Madathikandathil in the Regional Conference of the priests at Muthalakodam.

Nov 28 : Revised Thaksa and uniform mode of celebration of the Syro Malabar Holy Qurbana was implemented in the Diocese with the Holy Qurbana of His Excellency Mar George Madathikandathil at the Cathedral.

Dec 06 : The year of St. Joseph was officially closed at St George’s Cathedral, Kothamangalam.
